Default Ignition fork lock troubles

I just bought my 06 Ultra Classic last month. When I was checking it over I noticed that the key they sent with the bike only opened the gas tank, and worked on nothing else. I called the dealer and they sent me a set of new keys from Harley. I try them out and find that they work on everything except the ignition and fork lock. I mean the key turns but the bike doesn't lock down. It seems like there is something in the lock itself that has puked out. I can turn the forks with some effort when its supposedly locked and the ignition on won't lock at all. I probably need a new lockset and am wondering how much it will cost me. I have checked out youtube vids and it looks easy enough to switch them out myself. Any feedback would be welcome.
Thanks

If later bikes are anything like my older one, there is a linkage in that locking mechanism that can get out of adjustment. When you twist the locking **** a lever pushes a small rod into a hole in the top tree and the key locks it in place. Your problem may simply be that it needs attention. It is a pain to get at IMHO and best done with the factory service manual, not only for getting to it, but also for setting it up correctly.
