Default Speed Wobble

I need some help I have a Switchback and I get a speed wobble with a cold tire. I was thinking of putting a stabilizer on but wanted to get some thoughts from others on this issue. I bought this bike new and it has never been down. I know its a Harley and not a sport bike but I first noticed this problem when I had a long corner at about 90 after only about five miles on the cold tire. I have not changed anything from last year and it ran prefect last year. It still does but not until the tire warms even then I have gotten it once or twice but it was not to bad. One last thing even going straight about 110 really bad for a sec than goes away as long as you stay in the throttle. Sorry so long but wanted to get as much detail as possible. Thanks for any help I can get.

The Dyna models have a rubber mount system that leaves a little to be desired! I had an FXDXT for several years and installed a True-Track kit with great success. Even at slow speeds the bike tracked better, held a line more predictably and at speed was just great. I can strongly recommend one.

It is worth commenting that handing problems with rubber mount Harleys doesn't seem to be consistent. If you were to ride a similar bike to yours you could find it either better or worst.

Hope that helps!

At those speeds just about anything can cause a wobble, windscreens being one. Best investment I've made so far is True Track, I'm almost never over 85-90 mph though. Kurt

If the bike is still under warranty, take it to the dealer and have them look at it.
