Mirrors

Does anyone know if the body of a mirror can be removed from the stem and a different body put back on the stem? Has anyone ever attempted to do this with HD mirrors?

I've never tried, but have wondered the same thing myself. There are a lot of mirrors I like, but hate the stems and visa versa. BTW, I just sent you a PM
