Traveler - thanks for the posts ... just a caveat ... the Road King front end's triple trees will not work on the Dyna frame ... its got to be a FLST (Softail Heritage, Deluxe, or Fat Boy) ....

My conversion project continues. After deciding against using an FL style front end so I can keep my dual disc brakes I have put together a Fatboy front end from parts that I've found on e-bay, craigslist, and locally here in Ohio for around $650. I'll start wrenching soon and I have a question about brakes. Can I use my dual disc mastercylinder and one of the calipers in a single disc application? Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes....It'll work just fine. Problems arise when guys go the other way, and use too small of a master cylinder for dual discs. If anything, your front brake will be too touchy! I'tll have plenty of hydralic psi. on the caliper piston, that's for sure!

Ordered a Memphis shade batwing just like WideGlyde Bry has today. Will start thread when I install. FLH syle metal fender should be in tomorrow....will start thread on it as well.
