I haven't posted anything about my project in a while, but that doesn't mean it's been dead. When I started down this road early this year, I figured I'd have the new tank and bags on, and everything painted by early, to mid summer. I guess I grossly underestimated the task at hand, or grossly overestimated the free time I would have to devote to it. It sat with the front end off the ground from late spring, through almost the entire summer, while I replaced the fork seals and steering head bearings, polished the lowers, and spent I don't know how many hours stripping the OD green from the engine and front wheel. The engine and wheels were the worst to do! Very time consuming and tedious. I don't do tedious. But, I slowly trudged ahead. As the summer passed, it became clear that the painting, and fitting of the new tank would have to wait.
