First 1k from dealer is done. Let me get this straight, drain oil, spin off/on filter, add oil. Drain primary fluid, open derby cover, add new fluid(level bike), new gasket, replace cover, Beside all the other checks they did, Basically thats all there is? No tranny oil to change?

I just picked mine up yesterday from my 1k service. Of course I was just a bit over 1k! Then I promptly went out and put on another 100 miles!

Just found this group and joined up. i've seen quite a bit more nightsters on the road, i got my '08 in March of 2009 and already racked up 6500 miles. A buddy and i are gonna go down to Kerrville and ride the Twisted Sisters Labor Day weekend, anyone live near that area?

Hey guys, just wanted to drop everyone a line. I have not posted for a long time, got nothing to say or post. Medusa is still down ( been 70 continuous days ) and it really dont look like anything is gonna get resolved any time soon. This has been the summer from hell for me. MoCo has voided my warranty based on my exhaust system, now the lawyers are involved and I have no idea when I will get my ride back. dealer says he will replace the engine for $3600.00 bucks including labor. Fvck that. Will have to wait this one out. Maybe next year

Kerrville is approximately 55-60 miles NW of San Antonio. I live in the Dallas area, but i'm originally from the Central TX area (Ft. Hood/Killeen/Copperas Cove). I've always heard the "Hill Country" roads were nice to ride, so i figured me and a couple friends would ride around that area.

Yes Yoacedeuce you must ride on the twisties! although the mountains close to you are nothing like the ones around here, your mountains are larger and the roads have more room to stay straight. If you really want to ride the twisties, make some time next year and come ride the dragon with us! you will have an experiance to take home!

hey guys just joined the group. I just bought a set of street glide shocks and am going to do that mod whenever they show up. Is there anything i can expect issue wise wit installing them, besides needing to shim them out with some washers? and what size washers did u guys who have done this use?
