Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I have been riding for about 2 1/2 years now and currently ride a 09 Kawasaki 250r.The 250r is my first bike and I had never rode before getting it. I figured it was time to upgrade to a bigger bike and wanted to get a Harley now that I'm more confident with my riding. I have been looking at the Nightster and had planned on getting a new 2011 but browsing through craigslist the other day I cam across a 2009 Nightster with only 419 miles on it with forward controls and everything else stock for $8000. I'll be picking up the bike on Tuesday and pretty excited to get it.

Has anyone put a triple tree on a nightster?

Sure, even put a Fat Bob triple tree on this Nightster.

new here former 4x4 driver picked up my first bike 08 1200n first polish and found the fenders peeling? is this a problem due to shorter fenders, feels as though it bubbled up from underneath?

I put a H.D. Bad lander on My Bike now and then, It's not as comfortable as the stock seat, But it looks better with my sissy bar and Saddle bags work better too. I first bought a Pad attachment from HD. I couldn't change it easy enough and it Looked like it had a diaper on. There are some Good mustang seats now that the Nightster is more Popular. H D has another one that looks sleek, but probably isn't really comfortable either. The bad lander seat is like a fender pad for the passenger. If I were to plan on riding far with a passenger, I'd get a mustang style seat. They seam more comfortable.
