I miss those days out on the lake cruising in the boat, but I can't see spending the money to buy a boat to try and float it in the mud puddles they wanna call lakes around here, and then you only get to use them for a short period of time during the warm months,...I think I will keep the bike, I might freeze during the winter but I aint gotta drag it to the water.

Yeah, we sure aren't getting our money's worth out of it, that's for sure. We have a beautiful big lake north of here and it takes about an hour to get from where we keep it to the water. We go back and forth between selling it or getting a slip for it so we could use it more on the spur of the moment when we are out riding or something. But then, that that would be another expense.

You know the saying about the two happiest days in a boat owner's life, right? The day he gets it and the day he sells it.

Used ta hit the river in the middle of December , fishing , colder n' haydes outside .. Boats are fun , but like Harleys , kinda spendy ..

Done the boat thing too, but I do miss it. When it's blazing hot and humid, the boat is nice way to spend the hottest parts of the day, and ride in the cooler evenings. Usually nice scenery either way!

Happy Father's Day to all you Pops out there! Hope it was a good one. Took my Dad to lunch, and then to redneck heaven, Bass Pro Shops for a little thing or two. All and all, a good day.

Well, off to Vegas tomorrow! 100+ degrees of wonder "dry heat"! I don't care if it's dry or wet, it's still HOT! Bad thing is I won't have spare time to rent a bike, which sucks... Well, at least I'll try to get by the Harley Cafe.

I'm posting a little here and there about swapping a pulley and buying some chrome... :-) Thinking of trying for my Iron Butt certification in the very near future. Maybe ride down to Daytona Beach, Florida and back for a 1066 mile round-trip... I figure if I average 66 mph then I could leave at 4am and get back at 8pm from that trip... hmmm... :-)

Hey Cujo, will do, although I am not over that way riding very often, to be honest.

Shaq, I did the SS1000 the year before last. I left at about 4:00 and got home about 8:30, but that included a nice, leisurely lunch in the Knoxville area. I rode from Augusta to Birmingham to Nashville to Asheville to Columbia to home.

My next one is to ride to Shreveport and back - 1000 miles the first day and then 500 the second so I can get a SS1000 and a BB1500.
