I hope nobody minds me posting this in here. Dennis and his wife are friends of ours and we will riding for his father tomorrow:
"It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of one of our greatest generation heroes, MSG (Ret) USA - Charles Robert DuPuis, age 90, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veteran. Mr. DuPuis entered into rest on Sunday, June 21, 2009, at University Hospital, Augusta. Mr. DuPuis, of Native American Heritage, served in the Army for 30 years, and both of his sons answered the call to duty, serving in Vietnam with honor.
MSG DuPuis is the beloved father of CW5 (Ret) USA, Dennis DuPuis,(Augusta H.O.G. member) Vietnam veteran (and a brother Patriot Guard Rider and American Legion Rider), and Maj. (Ret) USA, Bruce DuPuis, Vietnam veteran, awarded two purple hearts. Bruce DuPuis wife Anne, is also a retired Army Major and Vietnam veteran. Dennis will ride his bike with us in the procession.
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor of MSG (Ret) DuPuis and his patriotic family at the funeral services on Saturday, June 27, 2009.
