Which Rake kit and why? 2005 Ultra Classic
I just installed a Trans Moto Side car for the Dog, and so far so good, a little bit of a bear to turn, and night right cambre on roads, but getting used to the rig, she is only 25lbs so I put 4 sand bags in 25+40+40+40+40=185kbs total, the car stays on the ground on right turns.
So to Rake or not to rake, I would do the conversion my self. Just at $1200 can for the trees I would like to get the right one.

First the car coming is caused a bit by how you move the bars to the Right you should not have to add weight to keep the car down You may have a mounting issue adjustment. They car should come up if you want it to.
As for rake 4 to 7 degrees . What you are really doing by increasing the rake is changing trail. You can find raked trees at around $900 You can also use an HD trike tree.
Looks great keep us posted on now it is going for you. Sidecar has a learning curve.
You may wish to talk with the people their steer light trees are great and affordable.

i have read not to ride it empty or it will come up too easily, and also about a 1/3 rule, 2/3rds mule, 1 third Hack
Fun facts, Harley =800-900lbs + rider 250lbs + gear etc, rounded to say 1100lbs vs Trans-moto SideCar 225lbs [not confirmed but found online somewhere, its going to come up on right turns EMPTY, add my Mini Golden Doodle 25lbs, still going to come up, add the weight of an average person say 200lbs, now it drives better, doesn't come up on right turns,
So far here is how it is set up
Toe is set to 3/4"
Lean is at 3 degrees, [i didn't like 8 degrees]
lead is set to 6 inches [i think]
Ballist 160lbs of sand bags
Puppy 25lbs
So now to play with the Lead and Toe adjustments to see if that helps for the right tug on the bars while riding, [just got back from a 575 KM over night ride and my shoulders are a little tired, you never get to relax un less perfectly flat, compared to 2 wheels
i have been looking for some specs for fine tuning, the dealer sites seem pretty vague,
and then Rake it for softer steering in parking lots? or on the road too?
