Default Need trailer ideas for FLHTK and 3 wheeler

First thanks for any ideas/help you can give. I'm looking for ideas on the best way to trailer a HD FLHTK and the wife's Spyder 3 wheeler. I was thinking about something enclosed, but the wife is thinking something open. I haven't trailered bikes often so I could use some suggestions on what has worked for you. Anything like trailer length, tie down systems (good or bad), or anything that can save time and frustration is much appreciated. I have used the search function, but I haven't seen much trailering both a 3-wheeler and a bike.

I do know not to cover on either bike if we get an open trailer! .

Thanks again for any help!
Mark

This place outside Watertown WI. Was great. When I was looking for what would fit my needs. They worked with me to load unload check on different ones that fit my needs. You never really know until you put the bike on the trailer how it will fit.

Do you plan to trailer them both at the same time ? What do you plan the pull it with? How often do you plan to trailer ?
If you plan to trailer in Winter ,like get the heck out of Wisconsin. You may want a high ground clearance for snow.

The higher the deck the more issues loading.
All comes in to it.

I do not trailer any of the bikes often but there are times it must be done.

I have my reason for preferring an ope trailer.

Most of the time both will be on the trailer.

What do you plan the pull it with?
Current is Honda Pilot, eventually a pickup/full sized suv.

How often do you plan to trailer ?
Currently the thinking is 3-5 trips in summer maybe something in early spring and/or fall. Then in 3-5 years hopefully more trips either on the bikes or using the trailer.

Not sure about winter yet but it is an option we are considering. If we were to use the trailer a lot in winter I'd be mostly looking at enclosed trailers.

Flexible for other uses. Better rear view, Lot less drag when empty saves a lot of fuel. Weight. My trailer is 12 feet long and empty weight is only 450 lbs.

Just bought an aluminum slingshot trailer for the exact same purpose. Believe it is 6.5 x 14 with an 8 foot ramp so nice gradual ride on/off. Put spyder in front left corner, bike behind and to the right.

Would you have any pics you could share? I was thinking/hoping I could get away with a 7x14 and would like to see how much space there is.

This is the trailer: Open Slingshot Trailers (missiontrailers.com)

Have not put on the additional tie downs needed yet, that's next. I have parked both bikes on it to confirm fitment.
