Default Battery?

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I think my bike needs a new battery. It's a 2015 Street XG750. I've got it on a battery tender. When I try to start it then engine rolls over and then clicks like I have a dead battery.

What battery do you recommend? or what else could be wrong? I'm not looking forward to the battery removal process, especially if it will not fix the problem.

It does sound like a duff battery with the clicking, and it won't charge you say? Do you have a multimeter so you can confirm if it's finished or not? If you do have to replace it, any reputable brand will be OK, just make sure you get one with the correct amps.

I know quirky things can happen, but a 2015 in warm climate w/dead battery seems odd. Maybe get w/dealer to see if there's an issue w/bike's charging system.

Get your battery load tested. This will help determine if there are bad cells in the battery. If yes, a new battery will be needed. Do not get Chinese made batteries - I learned the hard way twice.

the battery on our '15 died Monday night. long story short, it was left on and went totally dead. when wouldn't take a charge so... it's dead, Jim. it was later tested to confirm a bad cel.

changing it wasn't as bad as I read it to be in the internet. just time consuming.

the neg is hard to find at first
and then there is all this to get past.
and we are going back together.
