I wonder how the Stealth sounds. I have a Firebrand slip on as well and while it sounds waaaaay better than stock its not the end game I'm looking for.

I refuse to pay $300 for a slip on muffler if no performance is to be gained... I picked up my D&D Slip on from a buddy for $30... R6 makes way more HP (more exhaust flow) then my XG750A. Pipe has helped a touch in the high end. I live in the upper revs in the mountains.

I snagged it for $130 second hand. Ive dropped more for less before, but I'm with you on not wanting to pay full price.

Still watching the issue. I really want a tracker-style exhaust, or else something that runs it away from my foot. The way the heel pad setup forces you to point your toe outward tweaks my hip sometimes and it's annoying.

Guess we'll see!

Yeah I hear that... I was going to inquire to Stealth to see if they couldn't run the exhaust under the bike. Cut the foot pegs out and mount some Rear sets, custom seat for increased height and custom work to the tank to allow for a less angled hip extension (the wide tank also exacerbates the hip issue)...

My Doctor has strongly recommended I don't ride my XG moving forward because of the possibility of long term hip damage... With the modifications listed above I could have the bike fit me ergonomically. Going to cost big $$$ and I'm half tempted to trade it in.

Damn shame I love this bike have almost 13K on it now and am limited to half hour long jaunts on it... Did 100 miles yesterday and I was in agonizing pain when I got back home... Back on the Yamaha today. No pain. Doc says only a half hour a day, guess that doesn't mean I can save up my time and do it all in one day a week

Bummers about the hip problems the bike is giving you. Hope you can work something out.

Again, it's about the only time I'm glad for my 29" inseam...
