First I want to apologize for the mascot hibernating with me for so long. When I first participated a couple years ago it spent a grand total of 2 hours with me unlike this time where it camped for several months

I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and combined the handoff with a 1000 mile Iron Butt challenge. The hand off was to be with Kevin at DK Custom. DKs shop would be at the 500 mile mid point. With about 100 miles to get to his shop I found out he was in the hospital because of complications with some routine medical tests. He assured me Devin (the D in DK, and also a forum member) would be there. His shop is in Red Banks, MS 38661



Got there and met everyone, traded some stories, did the hand off, took a pic. Also had a nice tour of the shop. Then off I went for the second 500 miles. Did just over 1000 miles in just over 21 hours on my sporty.

Kevin rides a lot and knows a lot of people. Im sure it wont be long before its on the move again.

I have taken possession of the Mascot from Kevin ( DK Custom Products ) this afternoon.
I am located just outside of Memphis and will be traveling to Oklahoma City will be there on Friday April 25 & 26. I will be in SantaFe, NM on the evening April 27 and morning of April 28. From there we will be traveling backwards on the SantaFe Trail ( mountain route ) thru Kansas City to Independence MO. Finally I will be in Springfield, MO for a couple of days before returning to Memphis.

If you are interested in relieving me of the Mascot send me a PM and we will set something up.

You replied to a thread that is 6 years old. I don’t know that those members will respond.

 

If it gets stranded in Memphis for any reason let me know I can run down that way and get it rolling. been a while sense I have given it a ride.. Any reason to take a ride to Memphis is good enough for me..

 

So I got sucked in on an old thread. I had hoped it was really on the move again. Last Time I touched it picked it up from AZ Rider . He has pass on now. Rode down to IL and handed it off to Firewomen. Couple different forums passing the flag aka mascot was worth the time .
I would like to see it moving again. This one had gotten stranded out west AZ carried it back this way. Passed it 09-27- 2013.
If they ever find it if it moves again step up give it a ride.
