Default new owner with fuel module and o2 sensor question

I just picked up my first HD yesterday. a 07 road king classic. while going through the leftover stuff in the saddlebags I found the box for a TFI module. I searched the whole bike and could not find the module anywhere but the O2 sensors are still unplugged and the O2 connectors have a loop wire cap on them. will the O2 sensors being unplugged cause the bike to run a bit ruff?? I reconnected them and it seemed to smooth out the motor shaking a little but as a new owner I can't be sure.... thoughts on this please.

The 02 sensors were capped of so that a check engine light does not set a code for 02 sensors. The 02 sensors were also capped so that the tune that was installed does not get altered by the 02 sensor signal back to the ecm.

If the module has been removed, I would hook the O2 sensors up again. The bike will adaptively relearn it's fuel trims. Especially if it seems to run better.

ok thanks for replys, I spent about 20 minutes or so looking for the unit but could not find it. theres only so many places to mount one. I rode it home 40 miles before I knew the o2 was unplugged and it seemed ok at that time. but its my first hd so I can't say for sure that pluging them back up made a difference as I only got to idle it after making the connection. haha I've seen hundreds of hd's idleing and shaking, now I have one and I find myself asking, is that too much shake lol. I mean the foot shift was loping up and down fast like a sewing machine while idleing hahaha..

Your engine unit is rubber mounted, so while idling it will naturally shake. Things can go wrong, so that they shake too much, it has to be admitted, but when all is OK it shouldn't shake while riding, as the engine smooths out at road speeds.

great. it smooths out as soon as you give it a little gas.

I saw this video so maybe you can check the wires they tap into.
