wer vision questions
07 roadking classic, just picked up my power vision and will install this weekend. was looking at the maps on dyno's website. what map should I start with as there was not a match for my bike?? I have the a K&N SE style intake and wild pigs slip on pipes. or should I just start with auto tune on the stock map? also what size are the stock 02 sensor bungs on the factory pipes. I may get the target tune down the road. I figure If I have to replace the bungs I may as well gut the cats while the pipes are off..

I ran into the same situation when I first got mine. I sent an email to pvtech@dynojet.com giving them my bike info , intake, and exhaust set ups.
Here's the response I got from Roy, who I've read from other posts has been a big help to fellow forum members getting the "best" tune for their bike, and the rest of the thread.
"John,
Thank you for contacting Dynojet Research, we appreciate your interest and support of our products. The pre-configured tune I would recommend would be XXXXXXXXXX. The air flow characteristics between the two setups should be similar enough for the tune to work for you as is, or at least serve as a starting point for more advanced tuning if desired.

Thanks Roy. I've already updated the power vision with the most recent firmware and software. Is that tune a preloaded tune (on the unit) or do I need to retrieve it from the website?
Thanks!
John
John,
That tune should be in the preloaded tune database on the unit. It would also be on our website. I have attached it here as well.

Great thanks!
To get the maximum out of the power vision with the stock O2 sensors I would run auto tune sessions based on this map, correct?
Thanks!
John
John,
Correct, one or two sessions on this tune should be fine.

Hope that helps. I saw a huge improvement with the tune Roy recommended as well. I have since then done one auto tune and plan to do another one this weekend if the weather holds up.

I believe your ‘07 stock pipes use an 18mm O2 sensor, so the wide bands should go right in with no need to modify.
And I don’t believe you have to bother de-catting the pipes ... they didn’t have them.
They put cats in the mufflers on some bikes ( California and overseas ) but didn’t put them in the pipes until 2009, and at that the 49 state bikes were cat-less. It wasn’t until 2010, when they went to the 12mm O2 sensors that they started putting cats in all the head-pipes.

holy crap what a difference. don't even have proper tune yet and its night and day. just got my bike a couple months ago if that. had the wild pigs slip ons and the air kit on it when I picked it up. the O2 sensors were unplugged and no fuel controller anywhere to be found and ran pretty crappy as you could imagine. really haven't rode it much since. got some other work done on it til I could come up with the money for the power vision. just got the PV hooked up and didn't know what map to use so I just did a few quick auto tunes on the original map and holy crap!!!
