Ignition pickup melting
Hey what's up ? New to this , can someone tell me if 14 .42 is considered overcharging at high RPM my ignition pickup in nose cone is melting after 17 years of service . I'm going to replace it with a new one that's being sent to me don't want the same thing to happen to the new one . I already changed the 30 amp battery breaker that I found out has a diode in it . I was reading the other night on this. Someone happened to mention that if the battery reads it's full charge any overage could be sent to the weakest link which might be the ignition module . Can anybody confirm this?

Ignition
ignition module melting , it was 17 years of the factory OEM part that I had service from and still riding with it I replaced the starter relay which has a diode and suppressor within it I had read on this site that it is possible for the overage voltage going to the battery after a full charge is sent back to the weakest link in the system causing the melting I have reason to believe it was a bad diode in a relay again I'm still riding on original OEM part
