I had to replace the fuel pump and whole unit that goes in the tank. The dealer does not car the style that came factory in my bike anymore. The part they showed has a pressure reg in on the unit were as my old one has the pressure reg on the intake. I was afraid this would cause an issue. The unit was installed and the bike runs great.

Yep, original is obsolete. MM injection runs at a lower pressure than the Delphi replacement unit you installed. So the pressure regulator with the pump really does not do much. The one on the manifold still controls pressure. I had the same concern when i replaced my first one. It would be nice if the unit came with instructions.
