Default 2001 Twin Cam EFI to carburetor

All,

I have all of the pieces to change my horrible Magneti Marelli EFI to carburetor.

I have a Dynatek 2000 I had for another project, and hope to use this for my replacement ignition module.

I am curious if I can use the current cam position sensor as my signal for TDC on this older ignition module. There is no inspection hole to see the flywheel and TDC mark like an EVO, and the dowel in the front cylinder method is not completely accurate for finding TDC.

Thanks for the help!

I have a 01 ultra with 200,000 kms on it. Been upgrades to 95, cams, etc. Never had a problem with the MM. I never understood why people hate it. Ferrari uses MM. Good enough for me.

I'm looking for answers, not opinions or experiences with the MM.

Thanks for sharing your experience though!

If the ignition is for an EVO, I do not think you are going to get it to work.

The sensor the bike has from the factory sends a signal to the current ECU with TDC. This signal is used for other aftermarket ignitions, like the newer Dynatek and Thunder Heart kits. I'm asking if anyone has used it this way before in the older ones.

Please elaborate. I'm not sure why Zippers would answer questions about a product they do not sell, or a bike they won't service. I already have the ECU, and am doing the work myself
