Just following up : I installed a Dyna 2000 type ignition and the bike ran well. The rest of the build (re-build) gonna take a while.

heads up: you might experience some clutch off ping or even roll on ping with the dyna. you can compensate but rolling the timer plate a few degrees retarded.
