Hey folks, I got my PCIII pre-programmed by Fuel Moto.

The bike was running on the rich side so I decided to run the canned PCIII map (m814-002) which I've sent to the PCIII.

However, I may wish to try the Fuel Moto map again (just for kicks) but I never explicitly told the software to 'get' or 'save' the pre-programmed map.

Is that original map lost forever or is there a way to retrieve the data?

The Maps Backup directory seems to only store non-stock maps that I've compared in the software and does not appear to list the original map.

FYI: I've requested another map file from Fuel Moto but without the original data I won't be able to compare the maps to each other.

So... back to my question... is there a map history that is stored by the software or the hardware?

Nope. You have to save them to your machine.
I suggest keeping one and naming it as the original from FM.

Then you can modify from there.

 

I had mine pre-mapped by Fuel Moto and if you contact them they will send you the map they installed...

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll just assume that the map I get from Fuel Moto Map Support will be the same one that they pre-programmed.

As for the avatar... she's a peach, isn't she? I actually like bigger butts on women, but hers is so nice and inviting that I decided it deserved promotion.

 

Yup it is gone.

I always save a copy of the Map with some descriptor like the tuning date and then also save one copy as CURRENT. That way I know what is currently on the bike so I can tweak it away from the bike.
