Help - SERT popped ECM!!!
HELP!!! I have just attempted to fit SERT to a 07 Fatboy, after pressing "Program ECM" the status bar got up to 42% then crashed, the bike will not start now and the engine management light is not on, I tried once more to download SERT but a warning box appears saying ECM corrupt, any help appreciated, thanks.

RE: Help - SERT popped ECM!!!
There is a help section that will give you a few steps you can do to try to recover your ECM Data. When you go through it, and it doesn't work, you need to take your bike to a dealer and have them flash your ECM back to stock. It's a PITA. Sorry for the bad news.
Why did your SERT crash on you?

RE: Help - SERT popped ECM!!!
Whitz, the same thing just happened to me , thought I was screwed, was told to disconnect
the battery ground for about thirty minutes, the ECM should reset it self. it worked for me the engine lite
would come on again and the bike would start again, then reinstall the map. mine did this because my new
computer didnt like the SERT, used an older computer and all was fine, hope this helps.

RE: Help - SERT popped ECM!!!
Not sure the source of your problem but a good FYI nonetheless.
From another site:
"There is a batch of defective SERT modules sent out. Their date on the actual module is 3/18/08. These do not communicate with your PC. So if you are having a problem with a SERT and your module is dated 3/18/08, simply take it bake to where you bought it and get on that has a different date. PS - The boxes that the defective modules come in is much longer than the past, which is to say they put the SERT modules into Supertuner boxes to cut down on boxes needed. Hoping this helps to save someone from pulling all their hair out, Bob"
