Thanks
I got the derby cover from Custom Engraving http://www.custom-engraving-ltd.com/index.html

I sent him a digital image I found on the internet, and his artist worked it up. I am very pleased with the work.

My ship was decomissioned the Summer I bought my bike new - it just seemed right... especially with a haze gray motor.

A few pages back someone mentioned the possibility of welding o2 sensors etc.. in order to run in closed-loop mode for VTUNE. Would this be possible for an 04 FXSTS?

Thanks

You may have to also update the ECU, not all are O2 sensor capable. I think one of the appendixes in the down-loadable tuning manual lists the ECUs that have O2 sensor capability and what year bikes/models can be adapted. There may be a thread around her somewhere, perhaps the TTS main page. I'd look it up but have to run off to an errand. Someone does make a kit.

On my '05, it took two sensors, the harness, and the pins to plug into the ECM. Load an '07 map and you're good to go.

No. The TTS dongle marries itself to the VIN of the a bike it is initially connected to.

I'd imagine not, since the dongle reads the VIN, and that would not change.

I would think the new ECM would have a different VIN number programmed into it. Unless the MoCo will program in the VIN number.
For sure it an ECM was replaced with a unit off Ebay or some other source. The number in that ECM is going to be different. So the TTS would not be compatible with a different ECM.

My guess about how MasterTune would handle an ECM swap is based on my understanding that it is illegal to have different VIN numbers on a vehicle. I am sure there is a provision for the mechanic to enter the VIN # in a new ECM. The bottom line is that it would take a call to MasterTune to really answer the question.
