Default SEST SOftware Issues

I know this has been kicked around a little in here, but I have seen no cure other than picking up a used computer with XP installed. I am bringing this back up with hopes that someone has found a cure and never thought about posting about it. Plus I have a couple other questions.

First off, I have a SEST with software cd ver 1.00.00 along with the proper cabling. When installing the software it seems to install fine My computer is HP with 64bit Vista OS installed. When I attempt to run it I get the dreaded "Nolan has stopped working" message. I set it to run in compatibility mode (XP SP2) no joy. I tried every trick in the book and no joy.

I did have it running on my old laptop that had Vista installed but 32 bit vesion of Vista.

Has anyone came up with a fix for the Nolan message?

Also is there somewhere or someone I can speak with to try and resolve this software issue? as in tech support or something. I am willing to purchase the 2010 (ver s I think) version if I need to to get it to work on my Vista 64 bit machine.

Thanks

this is my understanding, (i'm still learning all this EFI stuff):

SEST = screaming eagle super tuner
SERT = screaming eagle race tuner

SERT is older version of HD tuning software, SEST or sometimes called SEPST is newer version (from 2008). TTS is based on SERT with tons of improvements and works better than either HD products. HD dealers only work with the HD products regardless.

Thanks Guys,

I was afraid I was going to have to purchase the updated 2010 version of the software. I just found out I am getting a copy of 64 bit Windows 7, so I may just wait and see how this older version works with that first. I am sure it probably will not work until I get the 2010 version of the software.

Thanks Again

Just a note for anyone who may be experiencing the same problem as I was having....

I went to a local dealer where I am at and purchased the latest "2010" version of the software and installed it. While I don't have my "dongle" with me, The software appeared top install without a hitch and the program loads nicely.

Thanks mang0 on telling me about ver 32111-10 software!!!!

I tried everything you speak of and many other things. Nothing worked until I purchased the "2010" version of the Supertuner software. Once I made the purchase of P/N 32111-10 SEST Software, everything is well. It works flawlessly!!!!

The SERT was a joint venture with Mastertune.
The SEST; I believe is built buy someone else because Harley got into a squabble with Mastertune and got someone else to build it for them. That may be part of the problem with compatibility. Now this information that I have is second hand.

I have a SERT and I love it.
