Trouble code HELP!
I have an '05 VRSCB. Recently installed a fuel moto EFI tuner and a rinehart 2-1 full system. For some reason, when i turn the key on and wait about 3 seconds all the flashers blink about 5 times and shut off. Then when i start the bike they red key on the dash is lit up which i beleive means there is a code in it. Also when i turn a signal on, it blinks normal for a few seconds and then blinks flash for the remainder of time that it is on. Anyone have any ideas on this? Is there any way to figure out trouble coats without taking it to the dealership? I am just curious if the code and the flasher issues are related?! Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance!

The other thing you may want to try is removing the tuner and see if it still does it. May want to talk to Jamie at Fuel Moto.
Do you think it has somthing to do with the tuner? I cant see how that would affect anything but then again ya never know i guess. I tried to reset the module like you said and had no luck. but that is the correct way.
I read a forum on here and figured out how to get into the diagnostic system on my bike. So i have a couple codes but do not have the sheet to decode them. Anyone know where i can get this? I did clear the codes and everythign went somewhat normal until the next time i cycled the key! I also realized that my brake light decides not to work now! I am thinking it may be related!

Take your fob to Wal-Mart and get a 2 dollar watch battery. Don't take it to the dealer and pay 7 bucks for the same battery
Here are a few codes to help though:
Be advised this only applies to the full serial data bikes, ie 04 and 05's
The IM (instrument module) is capable of displaying DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes).
Speedometer Self Diagnostics: The speedometer is capable of displaying and clearing speedometer, tachometer, TSM/TSSM and ICM/ECM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).
1- Turn Ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch is to Run.
2- Push odometer reset button in & hold.
3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting sould illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range
and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word ìdiagî should then appear.
4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" with the first P flashing.
5 - Each letter represents an area of the diagnostics module. The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter (module)
to the next, you push the odometer reset button one time. (from P to S to SP to t and back to P, etc.)
P = ECM/ICM (Electronic Control Module (EFI) / (Ignition Control Module, 'Carbureted')
S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module)
SP = speedometer
T = tachometer
6 - To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTCís the code will be
displayed or the word ìnoneî will appear if there are no DTCís. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist.
7 - Record the codes.
8 - If DTCís are not to be cleared, Press and release the odometer reset button. Part number of module will be displayed.
NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up.
Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTCís again by repeating steps 1 to 9.
If the code is current it will reappear.
9 ñ Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.
10 ñ Turn Ignition switch to OFF.
