P0505 - High Idle on 2007 FLHTC - Resolution
Symptom - Ran a few errands and when I got home my bike was idling around 1500 RPM's
I didn't think much about it. Later that day I went to a friends house on the way there I stopped for gas, when I was coming to the light the idle was around 2k now. I was like WTF?
By the time I got to my friends house the bike was idling at 5500, and my check engine light was on. I checked the error code and I was getting a P0505 code.
Solution - I search this forum and found a similar issue and fix. On the bottom front of the intake there is a screw that is used to adjust the throttle. That screw had worked it's way out and was holding my throttle open. I put some blue lock-tite on her and tighten it back up. Problem resolved.
Thanks everyone who has posted on this
