this statement is true for all HD Delphi bikes: "Normally, using values between .98 and 1.02 allows the ECM to mainain closed loop fuel control."

closed loop AFR is a narrow range of 14.2 to 14.6. anything in that range will be under closed loop ECM control. A lambda of .98 is roughly 14.2. if you set your cruise AFR table to 14.2 or .98 it will still be under closed loop but just running a tad bit richer than 14.6.

I think, on the older bikes there was a voltage adjustment parameter for the O2 sensor to dictate what Stoich was, and it could be changed a bit richer or a bit leaner if needed. that I don't know much about.

the SERT and TTS Mastertune guides are way more informative on basics of tuning than the DJ guides. These principals are all the same regardless of the type of tuning product used to access the ECM tables.

Thanks guys for all the input. I am using freedom performance headers is that what they are called. My mind is blank lol. So I really need larger throttle body and injectors ? Then worry about getting it tuned right. Can someone post a link I looked for them on fuel Motos site but no luck

at very least you need larger injectors. the larger throttle body would be a very good benefit. I believe FM only does throttle body boring e.g. you send them yours for an upgrade. you'd have to call and talk to someone to find out. Since you have S&S parts you may also want to call S&S they are usually pretty helpful.

attached is my front spark table just as a comparison. rear is pretty much the same except i have tuned it differently in certain cells based on my log data.
Very interesting, I've never really compared or looked at other spark tables other than the canned starting tunes, I used a blended version of FM/DJ tunes as at the time neither one had a tune using these S&S Power Tune Duals. However I'm very happy with my performance off the line so to speak, Not doggy, but Torquey. As heavy as this thing is I'm in the higher KPa most of the time. Can't really compare a Stage 1 96" Touring, To a built 103b Breakout. But it turns out we're pretty close in some areas, I am a bit lower in some and a bit higher in other areas. Of course there a dozen or so other factors involved, But still very interesting.

interesting indeed! the areas i found most gain in were the 1125-2500 lines, bumping those up a bit gives a bit more grunt off the line or roll on from lower rpm. but every bike is going to be a bit different based on CI, build, altitude, etc.

LOL thanks - Yours does too! I just put on some progressive 422's today and dropped it 1.25" - no time for a test ride today though so we'll see how she goes tomorrow.
