Default Installed new tailight w/ intergrated signals....now signals don't blink?

As title says, I've install a new smoked tailight that has integrated turn signals in it...all LED. Prior to the install, the previous owner had removed all turn signals from the bike. I looked in the manual and saw that the purple and brown wires are the wires I needed to tap into for the turn signals. Now, when I press the button for the turn signals, the amber LED lights come on, but they are steady "on"....no blinking. Also, the indicator on the gauges stays steady on as well.

The bike is a 2000 Nightrain, whats going on here? I figure it's an easy fix...thanks in advance!

The LED's don't draw enough current to make some flashers work. You need an electronic flasher designed for LED's. I bought one at the local auto parts store, just take the old one to get the correct pin out. Good luck with it.

This kit was supposed to be just plug and play though?

Here is an example of the flasher I'm talking about.

It's plug and play if you have the correct flasher. That being said, I don't know if you have everything else right or not, just sayin' without the right flasher it ain't going to work.
