The Goodridge lines should cure the problem providing you have the proper o-rings. Are you using either Buna-N or Viton o-rings? If not they are the problem. You may also want to try Stabil or another additive that will neutralize the damage that ethanol will do.

v.. Using Viton last 4 sets. Also use Stabil.. Still need backup sets as it not a reliable due to Ethanol.. I found another supplier of oring (indutrial Mfg) that willing to ship i just need exact size.. Will buy 100 of each and post the resolution here.

Anyone have the sizes of each of the rings for sure in metric? Then i will have enough to assist all in future plus solve this issue for good for my bike.. I always want a bag of spares on my after the time i have been through

Sizes of each of the rings for sure in metric? top small____________ Bottom large _________

i can get clips from other sources.. thanks!!!

Just buy the rebuild kit. They are cheap enough. I don't know why you are having such an issue with them running ethanol. I've had mine for 5 years. I try to use Rec 90+, but will use E-10 when I can't get the Rec 90+, and I never put in an additive. Just a bottle of Seafoam once ever few months. To my knowledge yours is the only problem that I have heard on here like this.

Goodridge Fuel Line Rebuild Kit HDFL5-KIT

Getting set to change the O-rings on the 96 road king. Haven’t pulled the banjos yet. Wondering if I’m going to lose a crap load of fuel? Mine did last four years. Just started leaking yesterday.

You took a slightly different approach than I did and I'm not beating on your procedure. If it works for you....that's great. However....as you indicated and got a bit nervous about, this particular fix will not last forever and sooner or later those O-rings will leak again. I hope they never do. I simply decided that I would rid myself of the cursed O-rings....and that's why I took the route of just gutting the nuts and installing NPT fittings.

I will admit that it's a bit aggravating to do that, but it's a "final fix". Even the expensive Goodridge lines have metric 0-rings in them and they would be very hard to find out there on the side of the road. They have to be the EXACT size. I have had one here that cut deeply into the horn bracket due to rubbing....so watch how you run those.

Messages to me concerning the fuel line fix have been picking up lately and I offer to build the tank nuts for anybody that will send me their old lines. $20 plus postage both ways for two gutted, drilled and tapped nuts and I'll send your old lines back for the final build. There are several ways that I have not pictured as to how you can put AN/JIC fittings on the hose-ends to make a professional and permanent job of it. My initial information concerned being able to get your bike back on the road no matter where it started leaking.

Anyone can PM me for further information.
Sir I need those lines redone right . I have no problem paying you for this . Please contact me at mitchellgoolsby33@gmail.com

Congrats on your first post and welcome to the Forum. By the way that post you're replying to is from 2014 and it's been 5 years since he was last on the Forum but maybe someone else will be able to help you or you can try starting a new thread looking for help. Good luck.

Jim
