Looks like a stock IronHead frame with a bolt-on or weld-on [can't see clearly which] hardtail.
Can you find the original VIN on the frame steering head? Should look like 3AnnnnnH3 or 4ANNNNNH3. 3A is XLH, 4A is XLCH. Could be 4 n's rather than 5. H3 is 1973.
Yours does not have a starter motor so it might be XLCH 4A. But the sprocket cover is notched for a starter motor so it may have had one, so would be XLH 3A.
I agree, stock frame with a hardtail added. Given the butcherd shifter I`d go over every inch of that bike before
