I see all the Hipsters claiming an Old School build . . . with white wall tires on old Ironheads. Makes me laugh. Here's some old School 50's Hot Rod stuff. BLUE DOTS on my 77 XLH 1000. Took me quite a while to find a pair of glass dots for the turn signals. I grew up in the 50's, can ya tell?? LOL
I've been running with Blue Dots for over 40 years and never a hassle by the LEO's. Once a Motor Officer pulled up next to me at a traffic light. NICE OLD HARLEY!!! LOVE THE BLUE DOTS.
In Nebraska, (passing on my way to the Black Hills) the HWP LEOs were kind enough to let me know that any blue light was LEO only. Popped the lenses out and stuck em in my pocket, and went on my way. Put em back in as soon as we crossed the SD state line, and took an alternate route back to VA. No one else has ever said anything about them.
Two out of three of my bikes in this pic have blue dots. Never got bothered. Anyone saying blue is for po po only has never seen a blue dot with the light on. It turns purple...
