Default Bendix needle size

I am getting rid of the worst carb I have ever delt with, the Edelbrock quicksilver. What a POS. Someone on this forum has been extremly helpful and is sending me an old bendix carb that I am going to rebuild. Having not ever used a bendix, I have no idea where to start with the needle size or adjustments. My bike is a 75 xlch, I have 1 3/4 drags, bored .20 over and 10:1 comp. any suggestions on what needle I should start with? Does anyone have a link to where I can get some tuning instructions? Thank you all for your help. The best advice I can give in return, is stay as far away from edelbrock carbs as you possibly can. JUNK!!!! my bike runs so lean with one size needle that I cant even roll on full throttle, so I went to the next size up, now it bogs down and acts like its drowning when I roll on full throttle. SUCKS. sorry im done with my rant. I have had my bike for 2 months, and havent gone on a properly tuned ride yet. previous owner said it ran great. what a crock that was, there was no way, unless he thought that 1/3-full throttle should hesitate and pop as he was going down the road

Default RE: Bendix needle size

Chris,
It came off of a 74'running 1 3/4drag pipes at the time. The needles in it should work just fine.
