Need a little input on where to find some vintage parts for 1977 XLCR 1000. It`s apart and in the process of restoring but still need a couple things. Mufflers are very hard to find if not impossible. Not like anything I have found yet

I've bought nothing from 'em and have no financial stake in their fortunes but these guys look pretty serious about XLCR's and other aging XL performance stuff.
Where in NE Jawja? I'm a frequent visitor to Helen, Dillard, and points North . . . In fact I should be up there around 11/1 to try my XLS on the Cherohala, BRP, and other obligatory points.
You can call Tatro Machine at 619-5011234. His name is Keenan Tatro and the guy is very knowledgeable on all types of bikes. He also has parts. Hope this helps.
About one hour N.E of Atl. Near Athens. JP Vintage did not have anything close to it. I have tried V-Twin also. Guess I will have to get lucky and find someone who has some stuff stashed away in their garage. That`s how I found the head-pipe for it.
Best resource for XLCR parts is: http://www.ironheadmotors.com/ or http://www.sportyspecialties.com/
There is some dealers in Europe that have XLCR parts but they are not allowed sending them to US ( factory has denied it)

Dennis Corso should have vintage repop mufflers. From their website: Our parts are used on almost every Harley-Davidson restoration including bikes shown at Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA) meets and on many of the antique bikes in the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Museum. While we specialize in parts for restoration, we do make some custom mufflers and lines. All of our parts are made in the USA — most in beautiful Kent, Ohio. They are available from Harley-Davidson dealers, independent motorcycle shops, directly from us, and from many fine dealers on the Internet. http://www.denniscorso.com/mufflers.htm
