So the other day I rode my 2000th mile on my 1978 XLH after refurbishing it in October / November. It has been a blast, the pride that comes from it firing up every time makes me feel like a proud papa of a bike that is older than I am. Someone on this forum once quoted "When the blood and oil mix, a magic thing happens" or something along those lines, and it is true.
This is a photo after mile 2002 since refurbishing. Current odometer reads 14,908. Got stuck in the rain the day before so she's a little dull, but I love those classic XL lines.
Thanks to everyone on these forums for your experience, patience and guidance.
