Can i add a brake light to my 17 Roadglide Ultra? If so where do i tap into the system? I just do not know much about the CamBus? system and what i can do.

Let me clarify, I have an aftermarket light that I would like to add, however as I understand it the Cambus system will not let me just tap into the the harness. So my question is how do I go about adding it?

 

It'll help if you tell us what light you're trying to install...

 

Not sure of the brand it is a light that replaces the tag bracket has a brake and tail light I understand I can tag onto the acc. side but as i understand it you cannot just tap into the brake light side with out upsetting the canbus.

 

Most of the add-on brake lights I have seen are plug and play and just plug in-line with the factory harness.

 

I've added the Eletra Glo Saddle Bag light and the Electra Glo Keystone LED's. These are basically just plugged "inline" into the factory auxiliary harness located under the seat. There is also additional ports located under the taillight for additional auxiliary lights.

 

If it is a cheap after market it may have issue. But other wise CANBUS learns. Add a few lights to mine . Tapped into wiring for the plate bolt lights also..
