Blaming the EPA for this lame, MoCo BS is ridiculous. EVERY engine designer/manufacturer for all vehicles sold for driving on US roads has dealt with the emissions laws just fine.

Don't get me wrong, I am NO fan of the EPA and/or its dumb-assed policies, but blaming them for the MoCo's current woes over the design flaws in their bikes is just plain ludicrous.

Not blaming the EPA for anything except for it being part of the reason as to why the twincam was no longer viable as product. HD was due for an upgrade. At that point HD had to make some changes to improve the product. Some of the "features" that HD chose to implement created new issues. Plain and simple. The change was due.

I simply brought it up cuz I was tired of your whining.

The MoCo finally got the Twin Cam motors figured out and glitch-free (mostly), so naturally they immediately discontinued it and introduced a brand new whizz-bang motor and tranny with a whole new list of un-fixable (so far) problems and defects.

Yeah, I'm sure all the folks who are putting up with all the problems with their bikes and getting zero help from the Almighty MoCo wholeheartedly agree with you (sarcasm, in case you didn't spot it yourself).

The "Ignore" function in the User CP is your friend. For the sake of your emotional well being, you might want to check it out. It'll keep ya from having to suffer through my posts - or anyone else's posts/opinions, for that matter - that don't agree with your personal views.

Best wishes,

JP

And we know you put people on Ignore for your emotional well being there princess.

This guy is like a butt hole. The only thing coming out of him is loads of crap day after day. Never adds a thing to a conversation - just whines and cries over just about anything Harley Davidson. Entertainment I guess.

I read somewhere that "supposedly" there was an Early Batch of Bad Engine Oil Pumps But, I have no actually spoken with my Dealer to verify this info.
I purchased my 2017 Road Glide Special in March & have about 500 miles on it so far, no Engine Oil Light has come on yet... Nothing abnormal that I can tell so far except, I do sometimes notice some kind of a noise at low speed But with all the echo that can go on from the Fairing and on back, I have Not been able to Isolate where the noise is coming from.

The last 8 of my VIN are: HB649429 - No Engine problems at this time.
Thank You
Last 8 of my VIN are HB629442. RG Ultra bought in 11/2016. 38,975 miles motor’s gone. Oil pump issues

2017 Triglide purchased 9/2016. Last 8: HB850844. Oil pump, cam, lifters replaced at 300 miles. Runs horribly hot.

HB606456 on mine and the engine sumped at 25,000 miles. Had to replace under warranty the following: Oil Pan, Crank, all bearings, values and seats. Bike now has the new pump and all upgraded parts and now has 36,000 on her without any problems.

What he said. A little late but I had to agree.
