Generally speaking of your posts, what’s your problem? Nobody hugs you? You got something stuck up there? You need some help?

I'm good with my M8 now since I got the new S&S oil pump installed with the 124" power package kit. As far as resale, I could care less since I have so much money in it I don't think I will ever sell it anyway! Maybe put a trike kit on it when I get too old to hold it up, lol!

ok, here's something for you to chew on..this is a Milwaukee 8 Forum in case you hadn't noticed...who GAF about Twin Cams, or "Rushmore engines" as was stated..there's a forum for those that should be able to discuss their problems

Aplus MT1500X lift, 48" wide, I had to buy the long ramp extra to get my chopper on it. It made doing my exhaust, air cleaner and headlight extremely easy!

Didn't know Harley made a Rushmore engine. The engine prior to the M8 was the twin cam. Twin cam was around long before the Rushmore bikes.

Nothing wrong with the Twin Cam engine, have one in my 03 Fatboy and one in my 13 CVO King.

That said, I'm a firm believer the M8 is a better engine.

The rushmore engine was nothing more than a slightly higher compression twincam with new cams. HDs last project to get a little more life out of the TC. I forget how much more HP / TQ they made but it was probably about 5%. IIRC its when they went from 41mm fork tubes to 49mm, added the vents to the touring fairings, liquid cooled the heads and changed the latches on the saddle bags.

Did not realize there was any change to the twin cam engine in 14, the First year rushmore bikes. A slight running change to an engine does not change the engine name. Its still the TC engine, just like the 110 CVO engine with different cylinders and cams is still a TC.

I knew front and rear suspension upgrades. I knew about the new bags and bag lids and latches, as for me that was most noticeable improvement. I knew some bikes got liquid cooled heads. Knew of fair update for vent on batwing and no 14 road glide. Road glide came back out in 15 with updated fairing and vents.

Yes, still a TwinCam but was known as the 103HO engine which was basically just a cam and air cleaner change.
