Is it possible to look at engine data, like coolant temp, oil temp and CHT from a screen on the '19 GTS radio? I think I checked evey button and every screen, but might be missing something. Seems like that data should be viewable.

Not that I'm aware of. I use a Power Vision from my old bike to monitor engine parameters. It's not married to my new '19 FLTRU so no warranty concerns.

 

I'm hoping Harley will update the GTS software to allow for more real time engine data in the Info screen. You shouldn't have to navigate a route with the GPS to see the fuel efficiency as well. Cars have had the ability to show real time, trip and tank fuel efficiency for decades now.

But I wouldn't hold my breath, I would bet they don't show oil pressure and engine temps to cut down on support calls. Most people these days don't understand air cooled engines run hot. Hot oil temps can result in lower oil pressure readings at idle. A lot of the time the gauges and the sensors they use are not real accurate and should be used to set a "base line" to help detect problems in the future.

 

I thought I heard....could be wrong....that the installation of the H-D tuner gave you more engine info on the GTS screen. Can’t say, because I don’t have the tuner. Maybe someone who does can chime in.

 

Street tuner has that info ,but not on the GTS screen.

 

But no GUI to monitor any data like that in real time AFAIK.

 

The little info button( see picture ) will bring you to a screen with three other icons down at the bottom. The engine icon will show you a few things. Unfortunately, oil pressure is no longer one of them. You just get an ok. As far as reprogramming it to do so, I believe that wont happen unless you change the oil sending unit, which I am pretty sure is just an idiot light switch.
