Exclamation Apple Music (or Spotify) issue with CB radio

Hi,

I have a Boombox GTS system running the latest SW release (MY21.20.28.00) and a recurrent problem still happens with my iPhone connected through CarPlay..

When I am listening music using CarPlay (Apple Music, Spotify or Deezer) and someone opens a conversation using CB, the music stops (this is a normal behaviour) but when the communication stops the music not always resume playing. When I start the CB communication the music resumes normally when I release the PTT button.

All my friends have the same issue and this problem was not fixed since first Boombox GTS release.

Does anybody knows how to report this issue to Harley? I didn't find any email in HD website for this kind of report.

Thanks,
Regis

You could call Harley customer service and ask them how to submit, or they may take your feedback over the phone. 1 (800) 258-2464

I have experienced the same issue, but it happens intermittently. When it does I just advance to the next song and it resumes playing. There are time that even this will not work and I will have to go to pandora (or some other music app) and then back to Spotify to get it to resume. It didn't do that when I first purchased the bike but after a couple of updates is when it started. If you find out to solve the issue I would like to know.

Thanks
Glenn

I have the same issue and the only way I know to prevent that, deactivate Apple CarPlay through the settings and your music will start back transmitting or receiving.

UltraWalt, can you explain a little bit more? You disable Carplay in the iPhone and keeps listening music over Bluetooth? I didn’t get your suggestion.

Thanks,
Regis

Yes, in settings, screen time/content&privacy restrictions/allowed aps/carplay. You wont have the carplay option at this point but your music will start back up after talking or listening to another talking on the CB

that defeats the purpose. Issue is how to continue using car play and listen to music.

it doesn’t happen all the time. I keep my phone mounted where it’s accessible so i can unplug and then plug back in to rest it

Default CarPlay without plugging in

Does anyone know if CarPlay can work without plugging in?

I have called several times about that issue. Harley is never quick to correct issues. Over a year before the iPhone 11 would work for a phone call. Harley kept saying and apple issue, yet this was a 19 bike and phone worked fine in 17 truck and 12 range rover.
