Hi all. Fairly new to the forums here, mostly reading. Lots of good information being shared here. Very cool bunch of people here.
I purchased a 14 Ultra Limited last fall. I'm 5'7" and need to get a bit lower to achieve comfortable flat footedness.
Im already in process of sending my seat to mean city but I'm also looking at lowering kits.
Does anyone have any experiences with this lowering kit. I've done a lot of research and a lot a these kits are questionable due to shock rubbing issues because of the wider side bags on the Rushmore touring models. I noticed with this kit in second pic there are bag spacers that permanently mount to the bags. Any experience or opinions of this kit? Thanks.
I've used the LA Choppers lowering blocks for both air shock and premium adjustable shock street glides. The LA Choppers blocks keep the stock geometry.
Both bikes needed some customizing of spacers and washers to fit free of saddlebag interference. Not supposed to work with premium adjustables, but I just mounted the adjustable shock upside down. Problem solved.
Had a local upholsterer modify stock seat for less than $100, and have HD CVO style solo seat which sits a bit lower than stock too. I'm 5'6" on a sunny day and I can flat foot very easily.
Make it work, make it fit. Part of modifying things from stock.

I used the Burly lowering blocks on my 14 Limited. There is no difference in ride or handling. I'm 5'7" also so the lowering blocks and mean city cycle seat mod make me flat footed. 2 up riding 40% of the time. 8k miles and no problems.

I had the kit on my 14 FLHXS with the premium shocks and found out after some hard riding in corners the bottom of the shock rubbed the bag.
Looks like he has sense added bag spacers and the statement " FOR AIR SHOCKS ONLY"
So I guess if you have air shocks your good to go!
I just installed JNR Designed air ride on my SGS. It's like the Dirty Air system; I installed over the winter and it was very straight forward. I took it around the block when we had a break in the snow, and it felt good. I'll post up more once I get the forks back on. Went with the Legend -1" kit up front.
I have tamarack lowering bracket doesn't come with the spacer for the saddler bag. I took off of my 2015 SGS when I went to air ride if interested. $60 shipped.
Thanks OP. While checking your link out I ran across these below. Which I ordered up right away lol. see how well they work. Last year I was looking for a 1.5" drop to use with the HD 13" air shocks, but didn't find anything. They were all 1,2,3,".
