Well, 16,500 miles, in two years on my 14 Limited. Never had a Coolant issue at all.
When it's hot out, after a ride, I do on occasion manually turn the fans on, when I get it home in the garage and let them run a bit.
I just set a fan on the floor blowing at the front of the bike. Helps cool everything down faster so that I can clean it.
I did develop a small leak at the hose where it is clamped to the radiator cap. I pried off the factory clamp and installed a worm drive hose clamp. Leak solved!
I'm at just under 18,000 miles.
2016 Ultra Limited 8400 miles 4 months old - Coolant issue
Heading up to the mountains today. After 3 hours I get the red coolant idiot light. Next stop light, I tell the other guys I need to break off and head for the dealer.
They said "We need to check for codes."
They said that "when that light comes on, there is suppose to be a code, there arent any."
They checked the coolant level while the bike was off ... Reservoir was filled to the cap. They said "its over filled"
They started the bike and the coolant went down to the fill line. They said "HUmm whats going on there ?!"
Diags
No trouble with the fans.
No trouble with the water pump.
"It must be the thermostat, we are going to change that."
They said that a hose was routed incorrectly.
My temp light, and engine light started coming on every once in a while, then got more frequent, turned out to be the pump, don't think i ever saw just the temp light tho

Love bike.
