Default Harley intercom vs scala 9x

I'm getting my new ultra limited and wondering what most prefer, the harley intercom headphones, or a blue tooth model such as scala 9x. I order a power set of scala, the guys I'll be riding with use them and like them well. Any other opinions?

Just bought a newLimited.Love the intercom so I can speak to the wife. Really clear. Prior to the Limited I had a Heritage. Had the scala rider intercom for 7 years. worked well. If your going to talk bike to bike and the other guys don't have an ultra or limited with CB then I would suggest going with the scala rider setup.

I did a lot of research on the units on the market today and their performance.

The stock Harley system works very well if you don't mind being wired. The key is to properly install the ear pods and mic in the helmet. The system is clear and reliable.

For after market the best out there IMO is the Sena 20S. Wireless, flashable, and way more options then the Harley system. Best part it's all wireless. Only downside two units will set you back north of $400. But here you do get what you pay for.

I am going for this system in the future, for now just using the Harley system.

I've had Sena's and Scala's -- both are quite good. But, if you're going to ride with a group of any size, cb is probably better. Also, it allows for the full functionality of the Rushmore features (answering phone calls, voice commands, etc).

Sena is highly rated. Check out webbikeworld.com for recommendations and reviews. I would expect you would get a better deal with a brand name unit like Sena or Cardo rather than what ever junk Harley currently rebrands. I love my Sena SMB 10, sound quality is first rate. Only issue is that it has no FM radio. Might have considered a 20S for that and the longer range and priority interrupts it offers. Sound quality is amazing.

I was about to get the Sena until someone introduced me to the UClear HBC200. My wife & I use them mostly for intercom but the phone & music work well. It's a boomless mike and has repeater capability. Though I haven't tried it, it's supposed to be compatable with other brand BT headsets. Apparently, it's good enough for military ops. Shop around the web for pretty good pricing. Here's the link to the company website: http://www.uclear-digital.com/en/UCLEAR_HBC200_FORCE
