Tried several searches but if I missed it please direct me to the thread:
I am looking for a helmet communication system that will:
allow me to connect to my Boom! system of my SGS
communicate with other riders preferably not manufacturer specific
Surely I am not the only one looking for such a system. I am thinking either a rider to rider system like a Chatterbox, Sena, etc that allows will connect to the Infotainment system on the SGS but I havent found the perfect answer yet.
I run the UCLEAR boom less system and love it. UCLEAR now allows communication with other brands such as Sena, but I am not a aware of any system that integrates with the Harley infotainment systems. Urge you to check out UCLEAR anyway.
So are boom box radios come ready to do everything with blue tooth except talk to someone else or the bike. For that you have to have a wired headset. Bull Sh%$ in my mind. I use a Sena half hemet blue tooth for bike to bike. Hoping someone comes up with a hace for the HD Harmon Kardon Radio.
The Boom 4.3 and 6.5 currently do not support HPF, so NO bluetooth mic will work. I have a Sena SPH10-01 and you can pair music.GOS to the Boom AND voice to your cell phone (not endorsing, just stain) if your phone supports split channel (ADP@) connectivity.
It sounds like a lot of mumbo jumbo, so for the less techie, if yer phone allows you to use voice only and supports more than 1 BT connection, you can fair reasonably well. iPhone and most U.S> phones don't btw.
Would that allow the Navigation to come over the blue tooth? If so can you explain not tech savy how to do? I have a Galaxy S5 currently. It did hook to music/TomTom, & Phone calls all at once on old bike using TomTom as base unit.
@Hoethree Have you had any issues with your UClear system? I have the same and struggle with it allot,to the point I want to try something different system. When my wife rides, her own bike, we leave the the mic open and talk most of the time, and she complains allot that she cant hear or understand me. When I ride SOLO if I am listening to my XM radio and answer the phone it will not re connect to the XM, very frustrating. Have you had any of these issues?
