Default Valvoline full synthetic 20w50 motorcycle oil.

Hi! New member and I wanted to share this about Valvoline full synthetic motorcycle 20w50 oil. I asked the Valvoline chat line to verify the oil in all three holes today. I have been using it but will change to another brand. Just an FYI! Thanks!

Nice first post about oil.

The answer you received is wrong. Valvoline has gear oil for the tranny and 20/50 oils for the engine. Chose a 10/40 of your choice for the primary.

It's just not that difficult!

Thanks. I am going to talk to a tech tomorrow at Valvoline to verify the statement. I will post what I find out.

I called 800 team val and was informed again that the only approved Valvoline oil to be used in a Harley Davidson is the VR1 Racing 20W50. I asked about gear oil and was informed that Valvoline will not stand behind any other Valvoline products used in a Harley Davidson. I would advise calling 800 team val before using Valvoline products in your HD. This is just an FYI. I was using the 20w50 synthetic motorcycle oil in my 05 ultra because I thought it was a good oil and it cost less. I use valvoline oil in my cars and I like the product!

I was wondering if I could mix Busch Kidney beans and Goya Pinto beans in my chili recipe, maybe I should call an 800 chili bean help line and find out from the Chili Bean Techs....

I just can`t take this seriously...

So run the VR1 in the motor, it's a better oil than the motorcycle oil. they are honest and let u know what's better for the motor.

Then run something else in the primary and trans . That's what I'm doing. Can't go wrong finding the best for each hole.

It's just a FYI. What I was informed. For those that are concerned call the number. It does not matter to me. I use forums to learn and to share information and when I do share information I try to post facts.

I just wanted to post and share what I learned. I was not trying to tell people what to use or don't use. When it comes to oil it can be like discussing religion and politics.

Some act like they are tired of reading oil threads, but come in the oil section anyway. You want facts read 540rat blog.
