Go to O'Reilly!! Sure, there's no difference in the products because they're the same brands but at least at O'Reilly, you'll get waited on! And if the price happens to be more, just ask for a price match and they'll do it.
That being said, if by the slimmest chance you have a bad experience, any at all, let me know and I'll have it fixed! Yes, I'm predjudiced, I'm a regional manager for O'Reilly and I oversee 85 stores but 99.9% of the time you'll get better service with us.
.....I'm off the soapbox now......thanks!

You can check it out here... https://www.hdforums.com/m_273708/tm.htm
Plus the fact that HD does not suggest using it in the trans any longer. Your choice here.

Why not use a heavier Gear Oil? just wondering why everyone is going only to 75W-90 and not 75W-140 gear oil? is the 140 gear oil too much for the tranny?

RE: Dumped Syn3 out of my trans.
I'm kinda new here and been reading all these syn3 posts. I have a 2001 softail standard and I have been running syn3 in all three holes for over 35,000 miles and I have yet to hear any noise or problem from anywhere in the bike! At the 35,000 mile service I pulled the gearcase cover and had no wear on the tensioners. Used a small dentist mirror to check the upper/inner pad and it was OK too. Maybe I have an odd bike but it runs like crazy and I've never had as much as a peep out of it . Just the observations of one person. Also, the last post with the 140 gear lube seems to be too thick to me. I used to use it in truck trannys and rear-ends. That is not to say that any damage will occur as the truck trannys are built about the same as a bike tranny really. But I think 80-90 is better for your harley. Phil
Hey j2, on second thought, even truck trannys run 80-90. So I think maybe take the 140 out of there because when the bike is cold you may not get the proper flow of lube in there. Phil

Crap, I retardedly bought a sevice plan and it shows syn3 going in all holes for each service. I guess I will be buying the Redline and asking them to fill it with that...oh well.
