Default Amsoil

If Amsoil has been around so long and is such a good oil, then why is it not sold in stores. It just seems like an Amway pyramid type scheme to me.

There is an Atwoods Farm store about 15 miles from me that sells a pretty good assortment of Amsoil products including 20/50 V-Twin oil.

I think for a long time Amsoil tried to keep a tight control over marketing and sales. And, you probably could classify it as sort of a pyramid scheme. However, they've come to realize in recent years that maintaining that type of control isn't going to cut it.

My local NAPA dealer sells a full line of Amsoil products. Quite honestly, until I went in there, I didn't realize what a large line of products Amsoil offers. The local NAPA dealer had about 7 different weights/blends of engine oil (including motorcycle oil). They had several different weights of gear oil. And, they had a variety of different machine oils.

You can't buy Avon products in a store can you? Are they a pyramid scheme also?
Just asking.....
Maybe someone should follow up with an Amsoil Shop Party type setup like Home Interiors and Pampered Chef does. If it's good enough for the wimmins, it ougtta be good enough for us. I'm thinkin keg, stripper pole, etc....
