Wife and I are still in the planning stages. Think we are going to run from our home in California to Bullhead City, Az, then to Yuma for the prison run, back to Bullhead City / Laughlin for the River Run. We usually do a week ride in Arizona before the River Run, just not sure where.....yet. Last year we did Bullhead, Sedona, Oracle, Yuma, and back to Laughlin.
It's a big deal if you live in Yuma. I don't know the official count of last year, but I'd say something like 3,000 attendees.
Hey Grumpy Irish, more than likely I'll go there again this year.

Yuma run is a mellow event - good vendors & worthy causes, i.e. Make A Wish & Yuma Children's Burn Center are the beneficiaries.Run is in its 47th year. You can motel it or camp at the fairgrounds. It isusually pretty warm. Last year there was a major squall on Fri night, but by Sat. am all was clear.Great biker games, Victor McGlaglen Motor Corps always puts on an awesome show.Yuma's Mayor is a biker. He'll lead the parade to theprison on Sat @2 pm. My co. made a film about the 45thif you're interested. www.southbaybiker.com or www.bikertruth.com
