Hope you're healing quick. Road rash frickin hurts...especially about the 3rd or 4th day. Showering can bring a man to tears. Try aloe vera gel to soothe. You can buy it at any health food store.Stuff is awesome & will also promote healing.

Get better! Yeah, I spent many years riding in L.A. and San Diego city traffic. Not fun. Try not to do too much of that now. Turning left in front of me, and pulling out from a side street or driveway, and changing lanes into me were the most common hazards. Learned to be very defensive. Not a fun way to ride but neccessary. Almost like a video game where every vehicle out there is about to run into you.

But a bike willgo down if it had to slam brakes, andthe rider will be hurt.Seems likethe car that pulled the left turn should be liable in this case, and you should be able to go after their liability insurance. Did you get their license and ID?

I went down yesterday(31st)on my V-Rod. I was going home after work. A car went across the road to make a left turn. Everybody starts panic, and hit brake. I did not have any time or room to do anything. I hit the brake and slid. I went over the bike and rolled on road. I have road rash on my legs and a dislocated right thumb.
