Looking for recommendations on a shop in the bay area to do a 883 to 1250 conversion. I've reached out to BAP and looks like hardtailz website/phone is down.

thanks
I think Hardtailz has been gone for quite some time. What did BAPC say? They just moved to a new shop. I had stuff done by them before. Good place.

BAPC hasn't gotten back to me yet. It might be due to an email inquiry vs phone.
RCcycles got back to me said 1200+kit (800 for labor, 400 for dyno), I bring kit of my choosings. However their reviews on yelp aren't too hot. http://www.yelp.com/biz/rc-cycles-hayward
A couple people I have spoken with have sworn by this place, http://www.rccycle.com/. I have zero experience with them though.
I have heard they are a great shop. That being said, I tried getting a quote for a motor build and never got one. Owner couldn't give me parts to be used, what type of head work, or any specifics. I thought it to be very weird. He sad he was going to have his guy mail me a quote. Never happened. I got tired of calling. I looked them up on google yesterday And noticed they had a few remarks and they didn't sound very good. I've not talked to anyone that has had them build a motor only people that knew some one that has.

I may have to give BAPC a followup call.
+1 for following up with BAPC. If you're in the area, I'd suggest stopping by. Knowing what I know about them, you'll get much better info / response. Past experience has been good, but it's always been on-site vs. email or calling in.
