It surprises me that CA is the only state allowing bikes to do it. Wish more would.

well this article is definately true since i split lanes right past a cop the other day and he didnt come after me so thanx for the good news !

I just looked at all 50 states traffic laws. 48 states and Washington DC Prohibit Lane Splitting (Sharing) in some way.
Besides California, Arkansas is the only other state that does not have a law that addresses Lane Splitting (Sharing).
California does not allow Lane Splitting (Sharing). California just doesn't have a law that prohibits it.

Looks like I need to change my riding habbits and follow these guidelines!
